Work, Productivity, Happiness and Culture
Summary
Culture plays a fundamental role in organizations, particularly in their management strategies and the adoption of new technologies. It directly influences how Empowerment is implemented, as different national cultures, with their distinct ways of thinking and acting, can lead to varied management approaches by leaders. This, in turn, can impact employee motivation and productivity. In today’s context, where organizations face constant changes and uncertainties, the topic of happiness at work has gained prominence, though many questions remain unanswered. The literature has yet to provide a consensual definition of happiness at work or a precise way to measure it. While some studies suggest that happiness in the workplace is linked to increased productivity, this relationship remains a subject of debate among researchers, highlighting the need for more in-depth studies on the topic. This internal research project aims to deepen the understanding of how organizational culture influences management practices and Empowerment, as well as explore the impact of workplace happiness on productivity and organizational effectiveness.
