EFETH | Gestão de capital humano – Educação, formação e empregabilidade em Turismo e Hotelaria

Education, training and employability in hospitality and tourism have been considered topics of great relevance to the sector, especially in the management of the crisis caused by the pandemic. Considering that human capital is a key factor in companies providing services, there is a growing focus on qualified labor. Therefore, it is essential to promote cooperation between higher education establishments and companies, aiming to acquire technical knowledge in the selected area of study and develop students’ skills in order to enhance students’ employability skills. This cooperation involves, among other strategies, monitoring the needs of companies, through the development of research work that can provide scientific evidence about the reality under analysis.

This project is based on the creation of synergies between researchers from different Departments, articulating complementary areas of knowledge, which allow for updated results and innovative perspectives on the topics under study.
