Green Finance
Summary
Green finance is a rapidly growing trend in the financial sector, focusing on investments that promote environmental sustainability. It includes financing for projects like renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and climate-resilient infrastructure. This approach is driven by the global push to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions, as investors and companies increasingly recognize the financial risks of environmental degradation.
The objective of this research project is to study the transition from traditional financial instruments to the new green finance paradigm. It will explore how financial markets are adapting to incorporate sustainability principles, and the challenges faced by institutions shifting from conventional investments to environmentally-focused ones. By analyzing this transition, the project aims to highlight the critical role of green finance in ensuring a sustainable society for future generations.
