DIANA aims to empower rural women by strengthening their entrepreneurial skills in the field of rural tourism, with a particular focus on digital literacy, innovation and sustainable development. To achieve this objective, the project focuses on strengthening the capacities of the participating higher education institutions through the training and upskilling of academic and administrative staff, as well as on the development and implementation of specialised training modules in rural tourism entrepreneurship addressed to higher education students and rural women entrepreneurs. At the same time, DIANA promotes close cooperation between universities and local communities, encouraging collaboration between students and rural women in the design and development of entrepreneurial projects supported by entrepreneurship support structures and centres. These activities contribute to inclusive economic growth, gender equality and the strengthening of the green economy in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, in line with the principles of lifelong learning and sustainable development.
