Digital Transformation and Innovation in Organisations (DTIO)

Digital transformation is today an imperative in an ecosystem where different organisations compete and interact. This research group seeks to study and promote the emerging and innovative use, and adoption and exploitation, of information technologies in different organisational and social contexts, as well as in driving digitalisation efforts at all levels of organisations. The group develops informed knowledge (e.g. models, methods, techniques, tools and applications) to embrace innovation and digitisation in organisations. It is also investigated how the development of digital transformation and innovation in organisations promotes the sustainability of different activities and what is the importance of education in this context of change. Given the interdisciplinary nature of its lines of action, the research group also works closely with other research groups, namely at the level of data analysis and development of decision support systems.
